History of West Coast Swing in Singapore
Before there was WCS, there was only Lindy Hop, Salsa and Argentine Tango in Singapore for social dancing. Very few people knew about WCS and only discovered it either through their travels to the USA or t.v. shows like “So You Think You Can Dance”. Hustle is a popular Disco dance made popular by the 1977 movie “Saturday Night Fever” starring John Travolta. It is done to music that has a continuous pulsing beat including those used for Disco Rock.
